The ideal candidate will provide instrumentation and controls engineering services to support planning, design, construction, and commissioning of transit and water and wastewater facilities.

 

Develops drawings and technical specifications for projects based on in-house standards, client standards, National Electrical Code, and local ordinances. The position will involve the design and documentation of the electrical, instrumentation, and SCADA systems of new and rehab facilities.  The position will coordinate the electrical design with all other disciplines so that the design is completely coordinated internally as well as with external clients.

 

The primary duties and responsibilities of this position include the following:

  • Prepare design documents appropriate for the project and in accordance with company standards.
  • Exhibited experience in industrial control systems design including P&ID development, water/wastewater instrumentation, industrial control system network architecture, PLC and SCADA system specifications, and related activities
  • Monitor project status and development to meet project deadlines.
  • Coordinate the completion of the documents in the appropriate time to have a QA/QC review completed prior to the deadline for the project.
  • Work with electrical staff to identify tasks and assign staffing to complete the electrical design.

 

Technical Knowledge and Qualifications Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant I&C experience
  • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills
  • Able to work well and communicate with other disciplines within the firm as well as other consultants on the project
  • Ability to meet and socialize with clients to foster future repeat work
  • B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE)
  • Registered Professional Engineer in Washington State preferred

 

The salary range for this position is approximately $150-195k per annum, based on experience and qualifications.
