Your Tasks and Responsibilities:

Job Summary:

As Warehouse/ Inventory Specialist for our warehouse, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and coordinating inventory management. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure accurate, efficient, and timely cycle counts. You will be responsible for maintaining inventory accuracy, conducting regular audits, and implementing best practices to optimize warehouse efficiency. In addition to managing inventory, warehouse responsibilities include operating a forklift to move, locate, relocate, stack, count, and put away inventory. This role ensures the efficient and safe operation of the forklift to support warehouse operations. The specialist will collaborate closely with other departments to meet customer demands, minimize discrepancies, and contribute to the overall success of the warehouse operations.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Auditing and Reconciliation: Conduct routine inventory audits by means of cycle counts or bin verifications to reconcile physical stock with the system data and investigate discrepancies, taking necessary corrective actions.
  • Receiving: Operating a forklift to move, locate, relocate, stack, count, and put away inventory.
  • Process Improvement: Identify areas for process optimization within the inventory management system, to reduce room for errors. Increase efficiency by keeping high-volume stock in easily accessible and conveniently located bins.
  • Reporting: Generate regular inventory reports for management, highlighting key performance indicators (KPIs), and presenting recommendations for improvement.

  • Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
  • Attention to Detail: A keen eye for detail to maintain accurate inventory records and identify discrepancies promptly.
  • Analytical Skills: Proficient in data analysis and interpreting inventory reports to drive data-driven decision-making.
  • Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with inventory management software and warehouse management systems. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
