Job Description Summary:

The Senior Manager, Marketing is responsible for the development and execution of marketing strategies and tactics for the assigned product(s). The incumbent is responsible for developing strategies and ensuring marketing tactics are implemented to drive product growth in the Canada.

This position collaborates closely with the cross-functional teams, US and Global Marketing teams to lead and support the successful execution of all key marketing initiatives in support of the Canadian strategic imperatives for the assigned brand(s). The Senior Manager will also collaborate closely with other key functions and regions/countries on the execution of initiatives and ensures consistency and alignment across brands and overall corporate objectives. The Senior Manger, Marketing will be capable of working independently and take the lead Commercial/Marketing projects identified within the Brand plan.

The Senior Manager ensures adherence to relevant regulatory requirements and company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) as appropriate.
Job Description:

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborates closely with all Canadian team members to lead and support the development and execution of strategic and tactical initiatives in support of the Canadian strategic imperatives for the assigned brand(s)
  • Collaborates cross-functionally and regionally to ensure the effective implementation of marketing tactics by working with Sales, Medical, Patient Advocacy, Market Access, PTC Cares Patient Support Program and Corporate Communications
  • Contributes to tactic development, i.e. promotional material creation, congress/virtual event activities, digital programs
  • Contributes to commercial data analysis and metrics to understand key growth drivers in the Canadian market and therapeutics areas
  • Works with internal cross-functional partners such as Commercial Medical, Legal, and Regulatory (CMLR) to ensure the appropriate submissions, review and approval of materials in Veeva
  • Works with Legal and Finance partners to create contracts, open Purchase orders and assist in the management of the brand budget
  • Manages and maintains relationships with relevant agency partners, including weekly status updates
  • Ensures compliance with all corporate policies, regulations and laws
  • Performs other tasks and assignments as needed and specified by management.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline and a minimum 5 years progressively responsible commercial experience in a pharmaceutical, biotechnology or related environment, at least 4 years of which were spent in marketing roles (rare disease preferred).

  • Marketing and launch experience in rare disease (preferred but not required)
  • Demonstrated success in supporting the execution of key Marketing tactics, including promotional material development, implementation of digital strategy/tactics, etc.
  • Experience working across business models of Patient Support Programs
  • Experience in collaborating cross-functionally or across brands to successfully manage and implement key projects or tactics
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively, as required, in a fast-paced, team environment consisting of internal and external team members
  • Ability to anticipate issues and respond quickly, flexibly, and creatively to solve problems and address brand challenges
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and skills
  • Excellent planning, organization and time management skills including the ability to support and manage multiple projects

Travel requirements: Travel-up to 70%. This position may require overnight travel, the amount of which may vary depending on meetings. In addition to travel, overnight and/or weekend travel for meetings sales may be required.

Office-based position (PTC Office Location) and/or Home-based office (remote) with travel to office and other locations for meetings as needed.

This position is to be Toronto/GTA based and will report directly into the Country Manager
