Description

We are currently seeking a full-time Phlebotomist/Clinical Lab Assistant to join our team at Metropolitan State Hospital located in Norwalk, California.

$25.00 per hour + medical, dental and vision 

Must have CA Phlebotomist License  + 1 year experience 

Monday through Friday - Day Shift (8am-4:30pm)

The Clinical Lab Assistant/Phlebotomist  (CA Staffing) works under the general direction of the Supervising Clinical Laboratory Technologist to perform assigned, varied, standardized, and non-technical laboratory procedures.

Essential Duties:
•    Collecting specimen (drawing blood)
•    Processing and preparing specimen for testing and shipping
•    Assisting in laboratory clerical and administrative duties
•    Cleaning and caring for laboratory equipment
•    Preparing simple laboratory reagents
•    Operating simple laboratory equipment
•    Using the Laboratory Information System (LIS) to order tests, print reports, and data log
•    Using the Physician Ordering System (POS) for scheduling blood draws and ordering tests
•    Other duties as assigned
