Job description

Salary Range: $62,000 to $67,000 per year

Benefit Eligible: Yes, includes health insurance (medical, dental, vision) along with paid time off and a 401(k) with company match

Location: Remote (WFH) with location restrictions within the United States. For tax and compliance purposes, this role is open only to candidates that will work or reside in the following states: AR, AZ, CA, CO, FL, GA, ID, IL, LA, MO, NC, NJ, NV, NY, OH, TX, VA, WA, WI, WY.

Classification: Exempt, Regular Full-time

The Opportunity

We are seeking a Logistics Coordinator to focus on supporting Paleovalley. This role will be responsible for managing the flow of goods from suppliers to customers, and overseeing logistics operations. This role will involve coordinating shipments and freight. The coordinator will work closely with the warehouse, suppliers, and carriers to ensure timely order fulfillment and delivery, optimize stock levels, and support the overall supply chain operations of the company. 


Essential Functions

  1. Manage freight and logistical movements across the Paleovalley supply chain.
  2. Identify opportunities to optimize shipments by utilizing FTL & LTL to reduce costs and resources.
  3. Establish strong relationships with external partners including transportation, warehouse and 3PL/Trucking companies. 
  4. Maintain & update schedule of inbound and outbound shipments plans across all Internal Warehouses.
  5. Schedule and coordinate pickup & delivery of raw materials and finished goods between Contract Manufactures, Suppliers, 3PLs and Internal Warehouses.
  6. Help with processing inventory transfers within the ERP system and store corresponding documents. 
  7. Review and monitor freight expenses for the business and maintain KPIs.
  8. Accurately review & approve vendor invoices.
  9. Additional special projects based on business needs.
 

Competencies

  1. Ability to manage time and workload efficiently.
  2. Strong organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize responsibilities. 
  3. Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel and/or Google Sheets. 
  4. Experience with TMS / WMS / ERP systems.
  5. Knowledge of developing & implementing SOPs is a plus.
 

Required Education and Experience

  1. Associate’s or Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience in lieu of degree.
  2. 1-2 years of experience in supply chain or logistics.
  3. At least 1 year of experience planning & coordinating freight.
 

Preferred Education & Experience

  1. CPG and/or start-up experience preferred.
  2. Experience with ERP, WMS and/or TMS implementation preferred.


 

Work Environment and Physical Demands

This job operates in a clerical, office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.  While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. This position requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies that weigh up to 20 pounds, and to bend and stand as necessary.  

 

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position during regular business hours (for example, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. in the employee’s time zone). Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand. Preference for candidates that are available during MST/CST hours. This position does not require travel.
