What To Expect

As part of the Insurance Services team, the primary responsibility of the Premium Auditor II is to perform Phone/Virtual/Remote Physical audits on workers’ compensation adjustable policies to establish appropriate classifications, exposures, and premium in accordance with company, industry and government rules and regulations. This position is a great opportunity to develop and be part of a rapidly growing company. This is a full-time, hourly non-exempt position with standard business hours of Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm, with some flexibility at manager’s discretion. 


What You’ll Do

  • Complete final audit reports for underwriting and billing in a timely manner. The reports consist of narrative and numerical summaries.  
  • Evaluate insured’s business operations and detail the operations in the final audit report. 
  • Examine, verify, and record data from financial/business records to determine the final exposure to calculate final policy premium. 
  • Ensure policies are classified correctly and exposures are calculated in accordance to carrier, bureau, and state regulations by utilizing appropriate data sources.  
  • Verify policy information is aligned with final audit results and alert underwriting to any discrepancies. 
  • Discuss final audit results and questions with insureds and agents to ensure understanding of any change in premium exposures and to maintain good customer relations.  
  • Assist the audit department administrator with any customer service-related tasks as needed.  
  • Remain informed of changes and current information relative to premium auditing through discussion and correspondence with experts and industry-related literature. 
  • Correct audit reports returned for correction by management or disputed by insureds/agents. 
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

  • High School Diploma or GED 
  • At least 2 years of premium audit experience, preferably workers’ compensation 


Preferred Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field  
  • Visual Audit platform experience is a plus 
  • College degree in business or related field preferred

Unless fully remote, this position operates in a professional office setting and routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines. This is largely a sedentary role with prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. However, some filing is necessary and may require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand on a stool as necessary.
