Who We Are Looking For: 

An Accounts Payable Specialist to maintain and monitor accounts payable, vendor, and payment records.

What you will be doing as an Accounts Payable Specialist:

• Review all invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment
• Manages Vendor Payment and ad hoc payment runs.
• Prioritize invoices according to type and payment terms
• Process check requests
• Audit and process credit card payments to vendors
• Reconcile vendor statements, research, and correct discrepancies through appropriate channels
• Determine and submit appropriate accruals 
• Works with cross-functional teams to research and problem-solve issues
• Maintain files and documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with company policy and accepted accounting practices
• Respond to all vendor inquiries in a timely and professional manner
• Assist with other projects as needed
• Review and research invoices as required. 
• Ensure vendors are set up and comply with ANM PO requirements
• Ensure the new vendor set up is approved through appropriate channels and all required documents are received and appropriately executed. 
• Perform the processing of functional expense allocations, monthly accruals, amortization of prepaid expenses, fixed assets depreciation, and recording of adjusting and reclassification journal entries, if necessary. 
• Perform general accounts analysis and reconciliations, including bank statements, fixed assets, employer’s benefit costs, accruals, and prepaid expenses as required. 

Required education, technical skills, and/or experience: 

• 5+ years of Accounts Payable experience 
• Experience with large ERP systems such as NetSuite, Oracle, or SAP 
• A degree in a related field is desirable
• Must be able to follow standard filing procedures
• Detail-oriented, professional attitude, reliable
• Proficient in Excel and Word, 10-key by touch
• Possesses strong organizational and time management skills, must meet deadlines and key reporting deadlines, and is a self-starter.
• Strong problem-solving skills, basic accounting principles knowledge, documentation skills, research and resolution skills, data analysis, and multi-tasking skills
• Thorough knowledge of applicable accounts payable/general ledger systems and procedures, financial chart of accounts, and corporate procedures
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
• Ability to interact with Vendors and internal customers in a professional manner
• Ability to work independently and with a team in a fast-paced and high-volume environment with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness
• Ability to perform mathematical computations such as percentages, fractions, addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division quickly and accurately
• Continuous process improvement focus

Travel is occasionally required for this position. Must have a valid driver’s license and motor vehicle insurance.
