Job description

Job Title: Senior MDM Data Analyst


Location: Virtual

Job Overview: 

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior MDM Data Analyst to support our Master Data Management (MDM) initiatives. This role will be instrumental in analyzing data sources, defining match rules, documenting business logic for survivorship with business analysis tasks like requirements gathering, stakeholder engagement, and process improvement and ensuring the integrity of master data across systems.  


The ideal candidate is proactive, highly organized, and skilled at resolving data issues while supporting high-visibility programs with professionalism and efficiency. 



Key Responsibilities: 

  • Perform comprehensive data profiling to assess quality, identify anomalies, and support deduplication efforts. 
  • Configure and validate match rules for entity resolution (e.g., accounts, contacts). 
  • Define and document business rules for survivorship logic and golden record creation. 
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify business needs, document requirements, and translate them into actionable technical specifications. 
  • Map and document business processes and data flows to support MDM and other data improvement efforts. 
  • Analyze and track data quality metrics; provide recommendations for ongoing improvement. 
  • Support the development and implementation of MDM solutions, tools, and processes. 
  • Assist with integration testing and validation of clean data into target systems. 
  • Ensure alignment of MDM strategy with organizational data governance standards. 
  • Communicate findings and recommendations through dashboards, presentations, and reports.
     

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Solid understanding of Master Data Management principles and data stewardship. 
  • Proven experience with data profiling tools and match/merge logic. 
  • Experience in documenting data flow, business rules, and technical requirements for data cleansing and integration projects. 
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in SQL for querying and manipulating large datasets. 
  • Understanding of PaaS environments and data platform interoperability (Salesforce, Pega, Microsoft, etc.). 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Experience with Agile methodology and project management tools such as JIRA. 

 

Education & Experience: 

  •  Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Information Systems, or related field. 
  • 10+ years of experience  in business analysis or data analysis roles 
  • Proficiency in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. 
  • Experience with scripting languages, particularly SQL, for data analysis.
