Job description

SEI’s Education Technology Services (ETS) division has a marketing function that supports strategy and execution across all SEI brands: SEI, Strayer University, Capella University, Workforce Edge, Degrees@Work, Sophia, Hackbright Academy, DevMountain, and more. We provide education products to consumers and employers to help increase economic mobility and better prepare working adults for changing workforce needs. Additionally, we partner with employers across the U.S. to help them provide attractive education benefits and pathways to their employees.

The Manager of Marketing – Employee Activation is responsible for driving the activation of B2B2C prospects for SEI’s employer partnerships. This includes external brand awareness strategies, paid media and paid social strategy, and partnering with internal B2C marketing teams to influence lead nurture with employer-specific messaging.

This person is highly strategic and collaborative, and will possess an interest in working cross-functionally and analyzing data to meet key business objectives. This role will manage a small team of direct reports.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Build a roadmap of ongoing, cross-channel, strategic marketing initiatives to drive awareness of employer partnership discounts and benefits. 
  • Establish and manage relationships across the organization in B2C relationship marketing, B2C product marketing, analytics, marketing and sales operations and sales account management. 
  • Define paid media strategies and lead campaign management set-up and tracking implementation.  
  • Collaborate with cross-functional operations teams to streamline and ensure the accuracy of data in order to create more personalized experiences throughout our funnel from inquiry to application to enrollment. 
  • Leverage analytics to identify key business performance insights and trends; communicate findings to internal stakeholders and business leaders across the organization; and suggest optimizations to deliver on business KPIs. 
  • Develop strong talent through new hires, coaching and training. 

Job Skills:

  • Strong strategy planning skills, working with a high degree of autonomy 
  • Adept translation of partner goals, and business objectives, into program plans 
  • High degree of emotional intelligence proficiency in the following competencies: Business acumen, critical thinking, strategic thinking, creativity, reporting, and measurement 
  •  Communicate effectively with people of varying viewpoint to drive consensus. 
  • Comfort in a fast-paced, ever-changing and sometimes ambiguous, work environment. 
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.

Work Experience:

  • 6-8+ years of experience in marketing 
  • Experience is higher education or B2B marketing 
  • A minimum of 2 years of leadership experience

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business or a related field from an accredited institution (or equivalent experience). 
  • MBA or equivalent experience is a plus. 

Other:

  • Ability to work remotely. The selected applicant for this position may be required to work onsite occasionally and attend onsite or offsite meetings and events. 
  • When on site, typical office setting. 
  • Access information using a computer. 
  • Must be able to travel 0-10% of time. 
  • Travel via plane, car, and metro may be required to perform this job. 
  • Effectively cope with stressful situations. 
  • Emotional intelligence in a professional setting

$92,700.00 - $139,100.00 - Salary
