Trinity Place is inviting applications for the role of Director of Environmental Services. We are seeking a dedicated and experienced professional to lead our Environmental Services team and maintain a sanitary, safe, and comfortable environment for our residents.

Position Details

  • Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM
  • On-Call Requirements: As needed

Position Purpose

The Director of Environmental Services will oversee housekeeping and laundry services, ensuring our facility meets high standards of cleanliness and safety. This role will involve developing organizational plans, supervising staff, and implementing policies aligned with state regulations.

Essential Functions
  • Develop and implement departmental plans to achieve objectives.
  • Schedule hours, assign duties, and establish staffing plans.
  • Prepare and recommend departmental budgets and maintain supplies.
  • Implement and evaluate housekeeping and laundry programs.
  • Provide in-service training for departmental staff.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and corrective measures for deficiencies.
  • Collaborate with administrative staff for planning and policy development.
  • Supervise housekeeping and laundry staff effectively.
Qualifications
  • Education: High school diploma required; higher education preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum one year in housekeeping/laundry in a healthcare facility.
  • Skills: Proven ability to organize and direct environmental services functions.
  • Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with housekeeping and laundry equipment like floor machinery, commercial washers/dryers, and chemical dispensers.
Preferences
  • Supervisory experience in environmental services.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
