We are seeking an experienced and forward-thinking Director of Applications Development to provide strategic leadership for our client's enterprise application development ecosystem. This key leadership position will oversee both internal and external facing web platforms, integration platform strategies, and ERP Financials system while driving innovation through modern technologies including AI and low-code/no-code solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Provide strategic leadership for a team of 2 direct managers and approximately 10 indirect reports
Drive the vision, strategy, and roadmap for the internal intranet and external website
Evaluate and potentially lead the development of a custom customer portal
Establish standards and strategy for new integration platform/hub
Lead and enhance Financials ERP development team
Champion Agile methodologies and practices to improve team efficiency and delivery
Identify opportunities to leverage AI tools to enhance applications ecosystem
Manage relationships with 3rd party vendors, ensuring quality delivery and alignment with organizational goals
Oversee no-code/low-code platform and continue to build out development strategy
Provide thought leadership on Microsoft Power Platform utilization across the organization
Qualifications
Seeking local candidates that can work on site at least 3 days/week. Client is not providing relocation assistance.Required
10+ years of progressive IT leadership experience
Proven track record of developing and implementing application development strategies
Strong understanding of modern web development frameworks and content management systems
Experience leading Agile teams
Demonstrated ability to manage vendor relationships effectively
Experience with enterprise integration platforms and API management
Strategic mindset with the ability to align technology solutions with business objectives
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Background in full stack development with progression into leadership roles
Preferred
Experience with CMS / enterprise content management systems
Knowledge of low-code/no-code platforms
Familiarity with Microsoft Power Platform
Experience with integration platforms (Mulesoft, etc.)
Understanding of emerging AI technologies and their application in business contexts
