The Senior Competitive Intelligence Analyst is responsible for defining competitive intelligence research objectives and needs of internal clients and leading key research initiatives and projects. This position is responsible for supporting the company’s strategy, growth, and innovation needs by managing competitive intelligence projects.
Responsibilities
Serve as an internal competitive intelligence expert on competitive, industry and/or other research, including expertise on appropriate data sources, vendors, methodologies (qualitative and quantitative, secondary and primary), and be skilled at insights identification
Continually monitor competitors, possible threats and stay abreast of industry trends; proactively inform key stakeholders of notable competitor/industry activities
Lead proactive cadence of competitive intelligence research activities for internal stakeholders
Bring strategic insights to meetings and discussions within the department and with cross-functional teams
Serve as a competitive intelligence consultant on industry information sources, research methodologies, and data evaluation and interpretation
Collaborate with internal clients to ensure research, data collection, and project management activities meet the needs of the requestor and are providing insights-based strategic direction to the business; translate complex data into insights to increase knowledge and inform action
Manage competitive intelligence support for other projects as needed, including training presentations, requests from clients or executives, etc.
Mentor, manage and coach Competitive Intelligence Analysts and other junior associates as they learn new techniques and gain more complex experience; provide leadership on large work efforts
Plan and execute on the continuous improvement of the Competitive Intelligence function, including, but not limited to a continual focus on improved data sources, consideration of new methodologies, as well as improved cadence, communication and delivery of information

Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in business or related area of study, or equivalent combination of education and/or relevant work experience
5 years experience in research related roles
Must be eligible to work in the United States without the need for work visa or residency sponsorship

Additional Qualifications:
Experience with vendor selection and management, including researching and identifying high performance vendors, negotiating services and managing relationships
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to negotiate and manage relationships
Exceptionally skilled at research and analytics with the ability to collect, document, synthesize and organize complex information and identify key insights, making it relevant, understandable and actionable for internal customers
Exceptionally skilled at project planning, organizing work and communicating findings with the ability to balance multiple projects with competing deadlines
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office software with strong Word, PowerPoint and Excel skills
Preferred Qualifications:
PBM or healthcare experience
MBA or Master’s Degree
Previous management experience
Minimum Physical Qualifications:
Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. Must be able to “move or traverse”
Must be able to constantly operate a computer and/or other office productivity equipment
Must be able to hear and constantly communicate information and ideas. Must be able to exchange accurate information
