What will you do?

A day in the life of an Accounts Payable Specialist at VF looks a little like this.

As part of VF Accounting team, the Accounts Payable Specialist position will perform various tasks related to accounts payable, and function as a support role for other accounting initiatives.

Let’s break down that day-in-the-life a bit more.

  • Manage all banking activity as it relates to Accounts Payable; to include reconciling ACH confirmations/rejections from the bank, issuing stop payments and retrieving payment copies from banking websites.
  • Review and approve vendor master data compliance and exception reports.
  • Manage and verbally validate with vendor requested changes to vendor address, email, phone number and banking information.
  • Maintain communication between business units and third-party accounts payable processor. 
  • Research and resolve escalated inquiries related to vendors, payment discrepancies, workflow approvals, etc.
  • Serve as backup system administrator for travel card provider.
  • Assist with internal and external audit requests and Sarbanes Oxley testing.
  • Support the 1099/1042 process at year-end.
  • Manage the unclaimed property requests from the internal treasury team.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently, with a proactive working style
  • Location requirement: While this position is fully remote, the ideal candidate will reside within Wisconsin.

There are also a few skills that are not required but preferred.

  • SAP experience
  • Advanced Excel skills

Hiring Range:

$23.00 USD - $28.75 USD per hour

Incentive Potential: This position is eligible for additional compensation awards that may include an annual incentive plan, sales incentive, or commission potential. Specific details of the additional compensation eligibility for this position will be provided during the recruiting and interview process.
