Job Description: Jefferson Lines owns and operates a 70+ vehicle fleet of motor coaches. We have a need for qualified Mechanics to perform routine (PMI) and unscheduled maintenance on our buses. Areas of service include but not limited to:

• Diesel Engines
• Drive Train
• Brakes
• Suspension and Steering
• Electrical/Electronic Systems
• Heating, Ventilating and Air Conditioning
• Preventative Maintenance and Inspection

Skills/Abilities:

• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and written work orders.

• Ability to add and subtract in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written or verbal form.
• Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Requirements:

• 1 years of experience in the diesel maintenance industry
• 2 year degree in related field or qualified experience
• Valid driver's license required. CDL preferred.

Physical Demands:

• Frequently required to stand long periods of time and use hands to finger, handle, or grasp objects, tools, or controls, and reach with hands and arms.
• Frequently required to bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl .

• Occasionally required to walk, climb or balance, talk or hear.

• Occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.

Work Environment:

• Regularly exposed to fumes or airborne particles (emissions).
• Subjected to dust, dirt and grease conditions.
• Works near moving mechanical parts.
• May occasionally work outdoors and be exposed to outdoor weather (heat and cold) conditions.
• The noise level in the work environment is usually very loud.
