Job description

Who We Are
30,000 products are launched every year, and 90% of them fail. Highlight is the first and only end-to-end agile product testing platform, enabling the efficient collection of scaled product performance data. Brands like Nestle, P&G, and Estee Lauder rely on Highlight for competitive benchmarking, pre-launch formulation testing, in-market product renovation, and more, to optimize product success. Highlight, launched in 2021, has seen runaway growth and scale, having tested hundreds of products at a fraction of the time and cost of traditional analog methods, and becoming the dominant SaaS platform in the product testing space. Highlight is a woman-owned, minority-owned startup on a mission to create better products for people and the planet. We’re a diverse and collaborative team committed to fostering an environment of innovation, impact, and growth.

We’re looking for a detail-obsessed, solution-oriented Operations Manager to own the end-to-end logistics experience and help scale our operations as we double revenue. This role sits at the intersection of logistics strategy and hands-on execution, managing everything from packing workflows to 3PL relationships and spearheading special projects that optimize how we ship products.

Your Impact
  • Own Project Logistics: Manage all logistics workflows from receiving to kitting to final approval for shipments across 20-30 projects.
  • Optimize Packing: Recommend best-in-class packing strategies and materials based on evolving needs and product types.
  • Warehouse Expansion Projects: Lead special initiatives to identify and integrate new 3PLs as we scale.
  • 3PL Relationship Management: Run monthly syncs, resolve operational friction, and identify efficiency and cost savings opportunities.
  • Integrations & Tools: Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to improve tooling and integrations with internal systems.
  • Cost Optimization: Monitor and analyze logistics spending to uncover savings and improve margins without sacrificing quality or timeliness.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with project owners, sales, product, and third-party fulfillment teams to ensure seamless execution and communication.
  • Process Improvement: Build scalable SOPs and identify opportunities to automate and streamline our logistics workflows.

  • About You
  • 3–5+ years in logistics, operations, or supply chain management.
  • Proven experience managing 3PL relationships and warehouse operations.
  • Comfort with data—you are proficient in Excel and logistics platforms.
  • Experience supporting growth-stage companies or launching new ops functions
  • Excellent project management and communication skills.
  • You’re scrappy, proactive, and thrive in fast-paced, scaling environments.
  • You love processes but know when to break or bend them.
  • You’re as comfortable talking to warehouse teams as you are working with software tools.
  • You spot inefficiencies instinctively and get excited about fixing them.
  • You think big but get deep into the details when needed.

  • Benefits
  • Health insurance (medical, dental, vision) with 100% of employee premiums covered
  • Unlimited PTO
  • Flexible, remote WFH culture
  • Access to the iconic Hearst Tower & its facilities in NYC (should you choose to ever be in person)
  • Based on previous experience and skillset, the starting salary range for this position: $92,000 - $115,000 annually
  • You don’t need to meet every qualification listed to apply—we value potential, curiosity, and diverse perspectives. At Highlight, we believe that innovation thrives when different experiences and ideas come together. We’re committed to building an inclusive team where individuals of all backgrounds - including but not limited to - race, age, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, national origin, religion, disability, veteran status, and more—feel empowered to contribute and grow.

If you’re a critical thinker who’s not afraid to challenge assumptions, we’d love to hear from you. We’re a passionate, supportive team that puts Humans First, cares about each other, and yes—we take our tacos seriously. 🌮
