Job description

This is a remote position.

As our Video Editor, you’ll specialize in creating dynamic, engaging short-form video content (Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts) that drives brand awareness and bookings. With fluency in English and Arabic, you’ll localize content for diverse markets while adhering to Islamic guidelines. Your expertise in fast-paced, trend-driven editing will help us stand out.


Key Responsibilities

1. Reels & Short-Form Content Creation:

o Edit high-impact videos (15-60 seconds) for Instagram Reels, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts.

o Incorporate trending sounds, transitions, and effects to maximize reach and engagement.

o Produce content themes, user testimonials, halal tips, and guides.


2. Localization & Cultural Sensitivity:

o Adapt videos for Arabic and English-speaking audiences, including subtitles and culturally relevant visuals.

o Ensure compliance with halal guidelines (e.g., no alcohol imagery, modest attire in footage).

3. Collaboration:

o Work with content creators, social media strategists, and graphic designers to align videos with campaign goals.

o Edit raw footage from influencers, hotel partners, and user-generated content (UGC).

4. Optimization:

o Optimize videos for platform-specific algorithms (e.g., Instagram Reels’ aspect ratios, TikTok trends).

o A/B test thumbnails, hooks, and CTAs to improve click-through rates.

5. Asset Management:

o Organize and maintain a library of video clips, music, and templates.

o Ensure brand consistency in colors, fonts, and tone across all video content.

Requirements

· 2+ years of professional experience editing social media reels/short-form videos (portfolio required).

· Bilingual fluency in English and Arabic (written and spoken) for scripting, subtitling, and collaboration.

· Proficiency in editing tools:

o Primary: CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro.

o Bonus: After Effects (basic motion graphics), Canva.

· Strong understanding of platform trends (Instagram Reels, TikTok) and analytics (views, retention, shares).

· Ability to work under tight deadlines and adapt to fast-paced content cycles

Preferred Qualifications

· Experience in travel, hospitality, or lifestyle content editing.

· Skills in basic animation, text overlays, or kinetic typography.

· Familiarity with stock libraries (Artgrid, Epidemic Sound) and copyright compliance.

· Certifications in video editing or social media marketing.
