Job Summary:
The Office Engineer acquires limited knowledge and develops basic skills in this position. They apply prescribed techniques and procedures in accordance with established criteria to perform assigned tasks. This position performs routine technical work which does not require previous experience and acquires an understanding of professional and ethical responsibilities.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Collect data and/or documents
Perform standard computations or analysis
Manage document control of various projects
Prepare or review drawings and visual aids
Review engineers should be able to work independently on tasks and use appropriate discretion to elevate concerns and before reaching out to the client
Prepare meeting minutes
Preparation of scope of work packages for construction task orders, requests for bids
Review Invoices, daily production reports and daily inspection reports
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
Proficiency with electronic communication including e-mail and text, as well as standard office applications (i.e., Microsoft Office Suite)
Understand engineering plans
Understand sharepoint
Possess basic oral and written communication skills
Interact with other staff

Other duties as assigned or required to meet the business needs
Required Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an ABET/EAC accredited program
3 years experience in engineering project management, construction management
Experience in railroad state of good repair preferred
Proficiency with electronic communication including e-mail and text, as well as standard office applications (i.e., Microsoft Office Suite)
Understand engineering plans
Understand sharepoint
Possess basic oral and written communication skills
Interact with other staff
Additional Qualifications, Certifications, etc.:
Offered rate of compensation (California locations only) will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The salary range for this position is $83,200 - $110,500 Yearly.
