Description

Accounts Payable Analyst

Reports to:  Senior Director of Finance

Supervises:  N/A

 

Summary Statement:   The Accounts Payable Analyst reviews open vendor invoices, researches and analyzes reasons for delays in processing. 

 

Essential Job Functions

  • Analyze and resolve discrepancies in a 3-way match of Invoice to Goods Receipt to Purchase Order.
  • Research and resolve outstanding vendor related issues and challenges unique to each business unit or process.
  • Maintain critical business relationships with multiple internal business units across several locations.
  • Maintain a friendly and professional relationship with vendors.
  • Respond promptly to incoming emails and phone calls from vendors and business units regarding open AP aging.
  • Make recommendations for process improvements.

 

Marginal Job Functions

  • Assist other personnel as time and knowledge permit.
  • Participate in training and meetings as requested.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and Work Experience

  • Must have or be enrolled/pursuing a 4-year degree in accounting, finance, computer science, or business.
