About the Role

Snapsheet is looking for self-motivated, competitive go-getters to join our team as Medium Duty Equipment Appraisers. In this remote, production-based role, you’ll manage a high volume of claims for insurance carriers across the U.S. and Canada.

As a Medium Duty Appraiser, you're a subject matter expert in evaluating commercial units like box trucks, high-roof vans, step vans, and utility body trucks. You’re analytical, thrive in fast-paced environments, and enjoy working independently while staying connected to a high-performing team. You bring a professional presence to every interaction and take pride in solving both common and complex estimating challenges.

If you have solid estimating experience with medium-duty commercial units—but not every vehicle type—we still want to hear from you. We’ll train and support you as you expand your expertise.

Responsibilities
  • Write fair and accurate estimates and supplements for medium-duty vehicles—including step vans, utility body trucks, box trucks, and cargo/high-roof vans—based on photos of physical damage
  • Ensure estimates comply with carrier and state-specific guidelines
  • Professionally negotiate pricing with repair facilities
  • Maintain consistent performance on quality and productivity metrics
  • Tailor your estimating strategy by vehicle type and carrier preferences
  • Actively integrate feedback from QA staff and leadership to improve estimate quality
  • Provide thorough claim documentation using internal tools and industry-standard resources
  • Communicate clearly with shops, carriers, and customers in a remote work environment
  • Collaborate virtually with peers, team leads, and managers
Qualifications
  • Minimum 2 years of experience estimating medium-duty vehicles such as box trucks, service vans, step vans, and other commercial units
  • Broader auto or specialty estimating experience is a plus
  • Strong knowledge of medium-duty construction, repair methods, and configurations
  • Working understanding of total loss guidelines, liability decisions, and fraud indicators
  • Proficiency in at least one estimating platform (CCC One, Mitchell, Audatex, AdjustRite)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-starter who thrives in a remote, performance-based environment
  • Receptive to coaching and continuously improving your craft
  • Bonus: State appraiser or adjuster license (or willingness to become licensed—we’ll help!)
Benefits & Perks
  • 100% remote work setup
  • Competitive pay structure
  • Training provided to grow your estimating skillset
  • Exposure to diverse vehicle types and carrier guidelines
  • Generous PTO and wellness-focused benefits
  • 401(k) with 4% company match
  • Full health, dental, and vision coverage
