Job description

This is a remote position.

Schedule: Standard business hours (8 AM to 5 PM Kansas time)

Work Schedule: Up to 40 hours per week with work completed during our regular business hours Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm. One hour break for lunch or two 30 minute breaks

Job Description

We’re seeking an experienced, detail-oriented bookkeeper to join our fast-paced, growth-oriented company. In this role, you’ll be at the heart of our financial operations, managing a high volume of daily transactions across our diverse business portfolio. You’ll work primarily with our expanding real estate ventures, but also handle transactions for our insurance and coffee businesses. This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your expertise in a dynamic, multi-entity environment, utilizing cutting-edge accounting software to maintain accurate financial records. As we continue to grow, particularly in our real estate sector, you’ll be instrumental in scaling our financial processes to meet increasing demands. Responsibilities
  • Efficiently manage and categorize 600-650 daily transactions across five distinct business entities, ensuring accuracy and compliance
  • Prepare and review comprehensive weekly unpaid bills reports, facilitating timely payment processing
  • Proactively communicate with staff members to gather essential information for precise transaction classification
  • Assist in complex asset management tasks for real estate transactions, including recording property purchases and sales
  • Maintain meticulous financial records using QuickBooks Online, ensuring data integrity and accessibility
  • Collaborate effectively with external CPAs for year-end financial processes and tax preparation
  • Drive the transition to more electronic and remote-friendly financial processes, improving efficiency and scalability
  • Adapt to increasing transaction volumes as the company expands its real estate portfolio, maintaining high standards of accuracy and timeliness


Requirements
  • Proven experience in bookkeeping, with a strong background in real estate accounting
  • Advanced proficiency with QuickBooks Online and other modern accounting software
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage high transaction volumes efficiently
  • Outstanding communication skills for effective interaction with staff and external partners
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting
  • Comprehensive understanding of multi-entity accounting and financial management principles
  • Familiarity with real estate transactions and asset management processes
