Job Description
We’re seeking a dedicated Finance Assistant/Bookkeeper to join our growing team and take ownership of our day-to-day accounting operations. This is an exceptional opportunity to work directly with our VP of Finance in managing the financial backbone of a thriving tech startup. You’ll be handling diverse transaction types from both B2C self-service customers and B2B enterprise clients, working with modern financial tools and systems. This role offers the perfect blend of routine excellence and growth potential, where your attention to detail and financial expertise will directly contribute to our continued success and expansion across multiple business ventures.

Responsibilities
  • Process and manage accounts payable and receivable transactions with precision and efficiency
  • Handle approximately 30-40 monthly vendor transactions and maintain vendor relationships
  • Manage and process 50-75 incoming payments from major insurance companies each month
  • Execute outgoing payments and maintain optimal cash flow operations
  • Perform accurate journal entries and maintain comprehensive financial records
  • Utilize QuickBooks Online for daily accounting operations and financial reporting
  • Support enterprise billing operations through Bill.com for large insurance clients
  • Assist with Stripe payment processing for self-service customer transactions
  • Collaborate directly with the VP of Finance on strategic financial initiatives
  • Potentially expand support across multiple business entities as the company grows
  • Maintain compliance with accounting standards and company financial policies

Requirements
  • Must be a CPA
  • Proven experience as an accountant
  • Experience working with US clients is a big plus
  • Strong proficiency with QuickBooks Online and general accounting software
  • Hands-on experience with accounts payable and receivable processes
  • Familiarity with payment processing systems (Stripe experience highly valued)
  • Solid understanding of journal entries and fundamental accounting principles
  • CPA certification strongly preferred and compensated accordingly
  • Ability to work dedicated US business hours in Mountain Time zone
  • Exceptional attention to detail for high-volume transaction processing
  • Experience thriving in fast-paced, high-growth business environments
  • Strong communication skills for collaborating with finance leadership
  • Self-motivated with ability to work independently in remote environment
  • Commitment to accuracy and efficiency in financial operations
