Senior Marketing Manager - Maternity Cover @ Gett | London’s black taxi app

55-60k

Circa 12 months FTC

Hybrid- 3 days in Holborn

Marrying the tradition of black cabs with cutting edge technology, Gett offers discerning travellers reliable taxi rides from dependable drivers. Based in the UK and Israel, we've been helping riders "Gett" where they need since 2010. In London, we're part of the furniture, with 1 in 9 Londoners having used Gett to order a taxi.

Our UK marketing team is tasked with spearheading growth with the goal of making Gett the go-to black taxi app for personal and business travellers alike. We're looking for a creative and results-focused marketer to join our team on a 15-month maternity cover contract and help to accelerate our growth.

What you'll Gett up to

It's an exciting time to join our marketing team – having reached profitability as a business, we're now fully focused on scaling our B2C and B2B operations.

As Gett's Senior Marketing Manager (Maternity Cover), you'll work on a variety of impactful projects with a laser focus on acquiring and retaining our riders. This is a collaborative role, working closely with the marketing and broader team to ideate and execute effective growth strategies. You'll be stepping into an established role where strong budget ownership and project management will be essential to maintaining momentum.

On a typical day you might work with your marketing colleagues on projects as diverse as:

  • Planning and executing a multichannel campaign to launch a new product feature
  • Doing the logistics for an in-person brand activation project 
  • Organising an influencer marketing project to grow our brand footprint on digital

Who we're looking for

We're looking for a versatile and high-output marketer who loves to roll up their sleeves to problem solve. You'll be driven by the thrill of doing extraordinary work and get job satisfaction from seeing the results of your efforts. Given this is a maternity cover position, we need someone who can hit the ground running and take ownership from day one. Your background might look something like:

  • 4+ years working in a similar generalist role with a proven track record of successful growth
  • Strong budget management experience with demonstrable commercial acumen
  • Excellent project organisation skills and ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously
  • Broad channel understanding (digital and offline) with a strong nose for effective channel strategies
  • An excellent writer with a high bar for quality creative and campaign execution
  • You are a high agency self-starter who seeks out problems to solve and gets them done

Talent Screen - (30mins) Our Talent and People Partner Joe Phillips will be asking around your experience and motivation for joining Gett 🧡

Hiring Manager - (1 hour video call) - Here you will meet Ben Bailey (VP of Marketing)! He will deep dive into your experience in relation to the role. Asking questions around your marketing experience 😊 You will also have time to ask questions to Ben, so have them prepared! 📝

Presentation (1hr video call) - We will send over a time-boxed exercise (no more than 1 hour prep) which will be presented to Ben Bailey and another member of the marketing team. Presenting will be the first 20 mins and the rest of the interview will be Q+A around your presentation. You will also have the opportunity to ask questions.

Peer Review (1hr video call) - Here you will meet wider members of the marketing team. They will be asking competency and behavioural style questions.

Please Note: To give you an idea of how long the process could take, I typically estimate 1 week per interview due to diary management - if we can fit 2 interviews in 1 week we will try 😊
