Description

:  The Sales Operations Coordinator will work in coordination of all sales and marketing initiatives for Post and Courier PeeDee in order to drive revenue and brand growth. In this role, the Sales Operations Coordinator will report directly to the Regional Publisher and Digital Sales Director.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze competitive products and promotional activity, compile prospects and share leads utilizing available resources
  • Sell advertising over the phone including special sections and share pages as assigned.
  • Collaborate with sales to create needs-based sales presentations
  • Assist management in development of B2B marketing strategies and corresponding promotional efforts
  • Be able to produce marketing graphics.
  • Assist sales with functions such as account set up, contract and sales maintenance, ordering ads, proofing and other administrative functions
  • Assist with rate referrals, product information, account history, billing disputes, ad insertion orders and other client questions or concerns in a pro-active, positive manner.
  • Assist in managing and completing reports in a timely manner as requested
  • Attend sales meetings and training sessions to obtain essential job information
  • Assist at Company Sponsored Events
  • Help with product distribution and accountability of delivery
  • Assist with office communications as needed.
Qualifications

Requirements, minimum education level, and experience:

  • Marketing, sales, or communication experience preferred, but not required
  • Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, sales, communication, business, or a similar field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Dependable transportation, valid SC driver’s license, proof of insurance

 

 

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to change priorities and keep on schedule in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in MS Office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Learn and understand programs used at Georgetown Communications
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills plus ability to multi-task
  • Attention to detail, deadlines and problem solving skills

 

Physical Requirement:  

Regularly required to sit for long periods to time; close eye work on computer screen; required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, bend and stoop; light to moderate lifting 15-20 pounds.

The worker is frequently subject to inside environmental conditions, which provide protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes.

Local travel required.
