Account Executive

INNOCEAN USA, a full-service ad agency located in sunny Huntington Beach, CA, is seeking an Account Executive to join our Hyundai retail team!

 

This is a hybrid role, x2 days per week onsite.

 

The Account Executive is responsible for the day-to-day execution of programs and/or projects associated with the Hyundai Dealership Associate of America (HDAA) accounts, and ensuring that work is on strategy, on time and within budget.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Support Account Supervisor-Retail and Management Account Supervisor - Retail.
  • Participate in marketing communications planning prior to client presentations; assist in the development of client presentations as requested.
  • Assist with the scheduling, arranging, and coordinating of meetings as requested.
  • Communicate client questions and/or implement timely solutions in response to client inquiries/requests, with emphasis on follow-up to validate credibility with IWA.
  • Serve as the “assignment expert” who knows the details on job status.
  • Guides day-to-day development of advertising activities within approved plans. Ensures that progressive stages are approved with adequate time to handle multiple tasks and deadlines meet aggressive schedules.
  • Provides effective and efficient use of agency resources and processes to ensure projects are delivered as promised in terms of content, time and budget.
  • Manage and update digital copy decks with offers as requested.
  • Respond to and address all Regional and HDAA digital static banner requests.
  • Prepare accurate and timely internal communication: conference reports, job starters, assignment summaries.
  • Keep Account Supervisor-Retail and Retail Director appropriately involved and informed on all major aspects of projects.
  • Anticipate, and proactively make the Account Management Team aware of any and all expectation issues.
  • Adhere to, and support agency and client processes with regard to Out-Of-Scope Assignments, conference reports, time reporting, etc.
  • Maintain well-organized library of advertising executions and broadcast elements on the agency’s server, creative library and online dealer site.
  • Monitor competitive activity and conduct competitive reviews/analyses as requested
  • Understands the expectations of, and communicate effectively with, all agency team members.
  • Effectively monitors the work of other agency departments against agreed upon timetables.
  • Identify, classify, categorize and be able to retrieve information as required by you or agency team members.
  • Responsible for the management and execution of point-of-sale, digital and radio production for national sales event campaigns.
  • Adherence to financial and operating procedures; prepares client job requests, routes, finalize and distribute billing for accuracy and completeness.
  • Monitor project estimates vs. time and cost, including maintaining up-to-date, accurate budget tracking as required. Responsible for alerting Account Director/team of any potential cost issues.
  • Maintains confidentiality while working closely with client regarding all aspects of campaigns and projects.

 

REQUIREMENTS:

 

  • Bachelors’ Degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications or relevant, equivalent experience.
  • 1-2 yrs experience as an Account Coordinator or Assistant Account Executive in a full-service agency. 
  • Knowledge of regional and dealership operations is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Strong time management, organizational and project management skills, as well as the ability to balance multiple assignments and set priorities.
  • Must be computer proficient with working knowledge of the MS Office Suite.

The salary for this role is $65,000-$68,000.  Pay is dependent upon several factors including but not limited to: client, experience, training and/or transferable skills.
