Department: Supply Chain & Logistics

Reports to: VP of Supply Chain

Bonus Eligibility: Annual EBITDA & Net Sales Bonus Plan

Position Summary:  The Procurement Manager is a strategic leader overseeing Brew Dr. Kombucha’s sourcing, purchasing, and supply chain management. This role ensures the procurement of high-quality raw materials, packaging, and services at the best value while maintaining supplier relationships and aligning with Brew Dr.’s operational and financial objectives.


Job Responsibilities:

Strategic Procurement Management

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies to optimize cost, quality, and supply chain efficiency

  • Monitor market trends, supplier innovations, and industry developments to inform purchasing decisions

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (production, R&D, marketing, finance) to align procurement plans with business goals

Supplier Relationship Management

  • Build strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure reliable delivery and mitigate supply chain risks

  • Negotiate contracts, including pricing, terms, and service level agreements

  • Evaluate and onboard new suppliers to diversify sourcing, strengthen contingency, and drive innovation

Operational Excellence

  • Oversee the procurement process to ensure compliance with internal policies, legal regulations, and ethical standards

  • Manage inventory levels and coordinate with logistics teams to ensure timely materials delivery

  • Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or sustainability goals

Financial Oversight

  • Track and report on sourcing initiatives' procurement costs, savings, and ROI

  • Conduct regular cost analysis to identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements

  • Collaborate with finance to forecast and plan for raw material and packaging needs based on production schedules

Sustainability and Compliance

  • Integrate sustainability practices into procurement strategies, such as sourcing environmentally friendly materials or working with socially responsible suppliers

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements for food and beverage manufacturing

  • Maintain robust risk management processes to identify, assess, and mitigate potential risks

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree - Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred

  • 5+ years of experience in procurement, with excellent leadership and management skills, preferably in the beverage industry or other CPG

  • Proven track record of successful strategic sourcing, negotiation, and contract management

  • Proven experience in managing supplier relationships and developing cost-saving and risk-mitigation strategies

  • Proficiency in procurement software and systems

  • An understanding of the beverage industry, including regulatory compliance, quality standards, and sustainability practices

  • A passion for driving innovation and continuous improvement
