About the Role

We are seeking a Performance Analyst to join our team during the Alpha phase of a digital public service project. You will play a vital role in helping the team understand how the House Buying and Selling service is performing for users. Your work will influence design decisions, service assessments, and preparations for future Beta phases.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with user researchers, designers, and product managers to define key performance indicators (KPIs) aligned with user and business needs

  • Develop and refine a performance measurement framework that reflects service goals and expected outcomes

  • Identify relevant data sources and work with data engineers to test data collection and reporting mechanisms

  • Analyse data to uncover insights into user behaviour, service uptake, and operational efficiency

  • Produce clear dashboards, visualisations, and reports for communicating performance to stakeholders

  • Ensure that performance metrics align with the GDS Service Standard and support future Beta assessments

  • Identify gaps in data or reporting capabilities and suggest practical solutions

  • Support iterative service improvement by measuring the impact of design and product changes

Skills and Experience Required
  • Proven experience designing and implementing performance frameworks for digital services

  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in tools like Google Analytics, Data Studio, SQL, or similar

  • Ability to derive actionable insights from both qualitative and quantitative data

  • Understanding of GOV.UK performance standards and experience supporting GDS service assessments

  • Comfortable working with multidisciplinary teams and communicating complex data to non-technical audiences




Salary:

250 - 300 GBP outside IR 35
