JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

HR Operations:

  • Ensure all HR operational activities are compliant with GDPR, local employment laws and internal policies.

  • Continuously seek opportunities to streamline and improve HR processes, leveraging technology where appropriate.

  • Support the implementation and optimisation of HRIS platforms and other digital tools used across the region.

  • Act as a point of escalation for complex operational or transactional HR issues within the region.

M&A and Integration:

  • Lead HR due diligence efforts for acquisitions across Europe, in partnership with Central Functions including HR, IT, Finance and Legal.

  • Develop and implement integration plans that align cultures, systems and talent strategies.

  • Ensure compliance with local employment legislation during acquisitions and post-acquisition transitions.

  • Support change management initiatives related to structural, cultural and process shifts.

Strategic HR Partnership:

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to business unit leaders across European regions, offering insight and guidance on people-related matters.

  • Translate business priorities into effective people strategies, focusing on workforce planning, organisational design and capability building.

  • Partner with those leading Talent Acquisition, L&D, and Reward to deliver regional solutions.

Employee Relations & Compliance:

  • Ensure HR policies and practices are compliant with EU and local employment laws.

  • Manage complex employee relations issues with a balanced, risk-aware approach.

  • Lead or support consultations with works councils and trade unions where applicable.

Talent and Culture:

  • Drive initiatives that enhance employee engagement, leadership development, and succession planning.

  • Support performance and development processes to build high-performing teams across multiple European countries.

  • Champion diversity, equity and inclusion across all regions of responsibility.

KEY REQUIREMENTS:

  • Demonstrated ability to lead or support cross-border projects and change initiatives.

  • High level of cultural awareness, with the ability to influence and collaborate across borders.

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills at all levels.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to addressing employee and organisational issues.

  • Fluency in English is essential with a second language an advantage.
