Job description

• Manage day-to-day bookkeeping using Xero, including accurate recording of transactions, reconciliation of bank accounts, and maintenance of financial records
• Oversee accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely invoicing, payments, and follow-ups
• Prepare and lodge BAS (Business Activity Statements) and ensure GST compliance in accordance with Australian tax regulations
• Assist in preparing financial reports, cash flow statements, and forecasts to support strategic decision-making
• Maintain and streamline payroll processes through Xero, including superannuation, leave entitlements, and employee reimbursements
• Identify and implement opportunities to improve financial systems and automate workflows using Xero integrations and features
• Ensure data security and confidentiality when managing financial and staff records
• Stay up to date with Xero updates and changes to financial regulations relevant to small businesses in healthcare
