Job description

Summary: Dime Community Bank is currently hiring for a Dime Support Representative I to support Dime's Call Center while working remotely. The Dime Support Representative I will respond to incoming telephone calls from customers and Dime staff relating to individual accounts and assist customers with inquiries on products and services.  The role will also provide customer account-related services in conformance with Dime policies, procedures, and service quality standards. Previous banking experience is required.

Salary commensurate with experience, ranging from $40,000 to $48,000 annually. The exact compensation may vary based on relevant experience, skills, education, training, licensure and certifications, and location.

Responsibilities:

  • Service external customer incoming calls, including but not limited to Net Express, BillPayor, ACH, External Opt out, Mobile Banking and general account assistance.
  • Notify urgent response and dispatch for system, frame relay, or telephone line problems to IT Support.
  • Responsible for monitoring, maintaining. and responding to incoming customer service emails.
  • Assist the Fraud Department by reporting possible security threats.
  • Promote Bank products and services by identifying opportunities and evaluating the needs of existing and prospective customers to make appropriate recommendations and or referrals to other lines of business.
  • Demonstrate the standards and principles of the Dime experience in every interaction with internal and external customers and associates. Incorporate the high-performance behaviors of teamwork, leading by example and service in every facet of work.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

 Qualifications

  • High school diploma/GED or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Banking experience required. Minimum 1 year Customer Service, Call Center, or Technical Support experience.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal/ organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in fast-paced environment and multitask.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications with the ability to learn new and existing Banking software.
  • Ability to work rotational Saturday schedule.
