About the Role: Fragomen, an AMLaw 100 Firm and the leading global immigration services provider, is seeking a strategic and experienced Director of Purchasing to lead and optimize the procurement function at our global law firm. This individual will be responsible for managing all purchasing activities across the firm, ensuring cost-efficiency, quality, and compliance while supporting operational excellence. The ideal candidate brings a deep understanding of procurement best practices, vendor management, contract negotiation, and the unique needs of a professional services environment.

How will you make a difference as a Purchasing Director at Fragomen?

  • Develop and implement firm-wide purchasing strategies aligned with operational goals and budget constraints, initiate cost-saving opportunities.
  • Vendor Selection and Management: Identify, evaluate, and manage relationships with vendors. Negotiate contracts, service-level agreements, and pricing to maximize value and mitigate risk.
  • Oversee the review and execution of vendor contracts in collaboration with legal and finance teams. Ensure adherence to firm policies and standards.
  • Standardize and streamline procurement processes across multiple offices to improve efficiency, transparency, and internal client satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with HR, Legal, IT, and Finance departments to support firm-wide initiatives
  • Consult on key data governance standards and processes to business and technical delivery teams.

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or a related field (MBA or relevant certifications such as CPM/CSCP preferred).
  • Minimum of 8–10 years of experience in procurement, with at least 3 years in a leadership role—experience in a professional services firm is desirable.
  • Strong negotiation, contract management, and vendor relationship skills.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong client service mindset.
