Job description

We’re defining what it means to build and deliver the most extraordinary sports and entertainment experiences. Our global team is trailblazing new markets, developing cutting-edge products, and shaping the future of responsible gaming.

Here, “impossible” isn’t part of our vocabulary. You’ll face some of the toughest but most rewarding challenges of your career. They’re worth it. Channeling your inner grit will accelerate your growth, help us win as a team, and create unforgettable moments for our customers.

The Crown Is Yours

The Sports Core domain is the beating heart of our sports offering ecosystem, delivering real-time, high-volume sports data that powers our odds, events, and market experiences.
We’re seeking a seasoned Software Architect to take technical ownership of the domain and drive the evolution of resilient, scalable, and performant systems. This role involves extensive collaboration with cross-functional teams and an ability to translate product needs into a sustainable architecture, while managing an architectural backlog, providing technical mentorship, and ensuring operational excellence.

What you’ll do as a Software Architect
  • Build the architecture and guide the evolution of core systems responsible for ingesting, processing, and delivering sports data across our platform.

  • Ensure a resilient, scalable, observable and performant system, built for high availability and global impact.

  • Own technical vision and architectural runway.

  • Champion best practices across the domain through technical leadership and

  • mentorship.

  • Work closely with Product, Engineering, and Infrastructure teams to align business priorities with system capabilities.

  • Translate functional and non-functional requirements into clear architectural documents.

  • Mentor engineers, support technical design reviews, and facilitate knowledge sharing across the organization.

  • Evaluate emerging tools, platforms, and paradigms; drive proof-of-concepts to inform future strategy.

  • Shape the technical direction of the domain in order to solve challenges pertaining to a multi-tenant, global environment with real-time data requirements.

What you will bring

  • Bachelor's or Master’s Degree in Computer Science or related fields.

  • Technology leadership experience with a demonstrated problem-solving ability to design, build, and operate scalable systems through others.

  • Deep knowledge of microservices architecture, containerization and orchestration paradigms, messaging, and streaming systems—familiarity with .NET, Kafka, and Kubernetes technologies is a plus.

  • Strong background in system observability, monitoring, and alerting.

  • Understanding of infrastructure and CI/CD tooling in a DevOps culture.

  • A culture of testing automation at multiple levels - from Unit tests to domain-wide end-to-end.

  • Ability to analyze and optimize performance related bottlenecks.

  • Ability to set and drive the “big picture” strategy while also providing detailed technical guidance to the team.

  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written (high proficiency in the English language) for explanation and presentation of architectural decisions.
