We are currently seeking a Solution Engineer to join our team. We are a completely remote company!  

 

The Healthcare Solution Engineer will focus on ingesting, analyzing and interpreting client data from data sets such as 837 (claims), 835 (remittance), and EMR systems to support data pipelines which feed analytic or operational applications for revenue cycle initiatives. This individual will understand healthcare billing processes, claims lifecycle, and electronic medical record systems. The Solution Engineer will also have proficiency with SQL. 


This position may require occasional travel (15%) and accessibility to a major airport.    

Requirements

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES  

  • Analyze and interpret healthcare data, including 837I/P/D (Institutional/Professional/Dental) claims and 835 remittance advice files. 
  • Develop, manage, and maintain data pipelines for extracting, transforming, and loading healthcare claims, remits and EMR data. 
  • Support internal teams by creating dashboards, reports, and ad-hoc analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and potential issues. 
  • Utilize cloud-based platforms such as AWS and Snowflake for data warehousing, processing, and analytics. 
  • Work cross-functionally with billing, clinical, and IT teams to ensure accurate data mapping and reporting. 
  • Monitor claims submissions and denials to identify patterns and assist with denial management strategies. 
  • Leverage SQL, Python, or other tools to automate data workflows and enhance data accessibility. 
  • Maintain data integrity and ensure compliance with HIPAA and other regulatory standards. 
  • Assist in the integration and validation of EMR data with claims data for comprehensive reporting. 
  • Assist customer technical teams and end users with the transfer, interaction, and interpretation of data for client onboarding. 
  • Support issue research and resolution.  
  • Other duties as needed. 

QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Health Informatics, Data Science, Finance, Economics, Computer Science, Public Health, or a related field. 
  • 2+ years of experience working with 837 and 835 EDI files in a healthcare setting. 
  • Proficient in SQL and experience working with large relational databases. 
  • Familiarity with EMR systems such as Epic, Cerner, Meditech, or Athenahealth. 
  • Experience with cloud data platforms such as AWS Redshift, Snowflake, or Azure. 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail. 
  • Understanding of healthcare reimbursement models and revenue cycle processes. 
  • Experience with BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Looker). 
  • Experience using Agile and Lean methodologies. 
  • Experience with Python, R, PowerShell, or other scripting languages and HL7 standards and healthcare data interoperability a plus
