Senior Accounting Specialist | Philippines

The Senior Accounting Specialist will provide an integral support to the Accounting and Finance Team by maintaining the accounting books of two (2) entities following the applicable accounting standards. You will be responsible for the timely bookkeeping of entries, proper maintenance of balance sheet and profit or loss schedules, and ensures that the financial statements are devoid of any material misstatements whether due to error or fraud.

You will lead other team members within the team which will include assigning tasks and providing guidance and feedback on their output. You will also assist the Team Lead/Accounting Manager during internal and external audits that concern the accounting records of both entities. You are also expected to be updated on the latest matters affecting the accounting compliances of both entities and is conversant with existing standards and principles.

Lastly, the candidate is expected to be open to new roles and tasks which may be assigned.

Mandatory Qualifications:

· At least 2 years of rigid working experience in General Ledger function

· With thorough knowledge on the current applicable accounting standards

· Knows how to properly maintain balance sheet and income statement schedules

· Meticulous attention to details

· Good analytical skills

· Ability to work efficiently without close supervision

· Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

Preferred Qualifications:

· Candidate is a CPA

· Can interpret and apply new accounting standards

· Has experience preparing financial statements

· Has experience in AP and AR

· Has experience working under a BPO’s accounting shared services

· Has experience in internal and external audits

· Strong verbal and written communication skill

· Proficiency in Quickbooks
