Job description

This is a remote position.

Onsite/ Hybrid/ Remote: Remote

Rate Range: Up to$92.5/hr on W2 depending on experience (no C2C or 1099 or sub-contract)

Work Authorization: GC, USC, All valid EADs except H1b

Duration: 4 months

Must Have:

SQL
Power BI
Data modeling principles (dimensional modeling & data normalization)
ETL and orchestration tools (Airflow preferred)
Experience with Postgres, Snowflake or Redshift
Strong understanding of SQL engines and advanced performance tuning
Strong communication skills

Responsibilities:

Partner with technical and non-technical colleagues to understand data and reporting requirements.
Work with engineering teams to collect required data from internal and external systems.
Design table structures and define ETL pipelines to build performant data solutions.
Develop and maintain automated Data Quality checks.
Develop and maintain ETL routines using orchestration tools such as Airflow.
Implement database deployments using tools like Schema Change.
Perform ad hoc analysis as necessary.
Conduct SQL and ETL performance tuning.

Qualifications:

5+ years of relevant data engineering experience.
Strong understanding of data modeling principles including dimensional modeling & data normalization.
2+ years of experience with analytic SQL, working with traditional relational databases and/or distributed systems (Postgres, Snowflake, Redshift).
Ability to think strategically and interpret market and consumer information.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent conceptual and analytical reasoning skills.
Familiarity with Agile Scrum principles.
Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, information systems, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
