This is a remote position.
We’re currently seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Bookkeeper to join a growing NDIS provider in Australia. This role is ideal for someone who understands the intricacies of NDIS financial processes and is comfortable managing end-to-end bookkeeping responsibilities in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.
Perform daily bookkeeping tasks, including reconciliation of bank transactions using Xero.
Upload, code, and categorise invoices and receipts accurately.
Process accounts payable/receivable and follow up on overdue accounts.
Forecast and manage cash flow in collaboration with the CEO.
Process weekly payroll and superannuation, ensuring compliance with Australian regulations and accurate STP reporting.
Handle NDIS claims, including submitting daily claims, reconciling payments, correcting errors, and managing open/part-paid/held claims.
Maintain and reconcile clearing accounts weekly to ensure no discrepancies.
Prepare and lodge Business Activity Statements (BAS) in line with ATO regulations.
Generate management financial reports and respond to ad-hoc reporting requests.
Provide executive support, including calendar management, correspondence, and assistance with workshops/events.
Minimum 2+ years of experience in bookkeeping or financial support roles.
Demonstrated experience with NDIS bookkeeping and claims processing.
Proficient in Xero and MYOB; experience with VisualCare is a plus.
Strong understanding of Australian payroll legislation, STP, and superannuation.
Advanced Excel and MS Office Suite skills.
Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Proven ability to work independently in a remote setting with strong time management.
