Job Summary:

As Director and Actuary within the Asset Liability Management (ALM) and Capital Analytics team in Corporate Actuarial and Risk Management, you will lead a team and have direct responsibility for key aspects including Asset Liability management, capital monitoring, forecasting and strategy consulting , aligning ALM with broader business strategies, thought leadership and driving research projects for improvement of Asset Liability Management capabilities, liquidity risk measurement and monitoring, partnering with investment teams, cashflow management, and supporting business units with product development and risk management. This role will lead a team of credentialed actuaries and actuarial students.

You will approach business challenges from a broad corporate perspective and anticipate and remove barriers to accomplish business objectives. The ideal candidate will have the ability to effectively collaborate and communicate with a wide range of functions and will also bring a strong technical background.

Occasional travel only (such as for planning purposes, team building, or conferences) may be required.

Skills and Background You’ll Need

  • Responsible for the overall management and technical oversight of both junior and senior actuarial staff.
  • Leverages effective networks across the department/division. Exhibits effective communication and people skills in managing projects, working with stakeholders and resolving conflicts.
  • Viewed as a resource to the division, providing leadership in his/her key areas of responsibilities.
  • Routinely provides counsel to the Top Actuarial Executive within the Product Group/Line of Business, or Market Segment, and to the analysis within their area of domain expertise.
  • Primarily responsible for developing and executing on business needs within an actuarial function.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in ALM, capital strategy, finance, or investments.
  • Preferred familiarity with insurance product dynamics, ideally across annuities, life, and disability insurance.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field required. FSA or equivalent international actuarial designation required.
  • Preferred designations such as CFA, PRM, or CERA.
  • Demonstrated success leading complex, cross-functional initiatives with enterprise impact.
  • Works on significant and complex issues where analysis of situations requires evaluation of quantitative, qualitative, forward looking and organizational factors.

  • Eligibility to participate in an incentive program is subject to the rules governing the program and plan. Any award depends on a variety of factors including individual and organizational performance.

Salary Range:

$143,750.00 - $229,750.00
