Job description

Compensation Pay Range:

$84,400.00 - $126,600.00

The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location.  Additional compensation includes annual, quarterly performance, or premiums may be paid in amounts ranging per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.

The Sr. WAN Administrator will oversee WAN network implementation, organization, and troubleshooting. To oversee work of technical support staff in managing network hubs, routers, switches and servers; to monitor underlying communications protocols and supporting network hardware. Monitor and identify potential chronic issues. Coordinate projects with LAN Team when needed.

This role can be worked remotely in the United States.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Highest level of escalation for store, distribution center and remote office communications issues
  • Responsible for design, implementation, maintenance and troubleshooting of store/DC WAN
  • Evaluates new technologies as they emerge and provides guidance on how they could be beneficial to the company
  • Provides lab, proof of concept and store pilot test environments to evaluate new products and vendors
  • Uses best practices to ensure network security and maintain PCI compliance of over 4600 firewalls
  • Develop and implement appropriate store firewall rules for new applications and services
  • Responsible for daily firewall scans and quarterly firewall reviews to ensure PCI compliance
  • Monitors utilization and performs upgrades in accordance with capacity planning guidelines
  • Manage all WAN network projects working with telecom, service vendors, stores and DCs

SKILLS/EDUCATION/KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE/ABILITIES

Required:
  • Expert level understanding of data networking and IP routing.  Must be familiar with Cisco CLI, BGP, EIGRP, DMVPN, IPSEC, TCP/UDP and LAN switching
  • CCNA level proficiency required, CCNP level desired
  • 5 years of WAN administration experience

Desired: 
  • Scripting knowledge or experience (Python)
  • Linux knowledge or experience
  • Knowledge of WLAN and VOIP a plus
