Role Summary

The Operations Manager will play a critical role in supporting the Head of Sales & Service Operations by overseeing key operational functions and projects whilst
ensuring that performance metrics align with the business unit goals. This position involves monitoring Key Performance Indicators across various work streams, resource management, and actively participating in projects and heading continuous improvement initiatives to drive operational excellence & sales growth.

Key Accountabilities

  • Oversee day-to-day operations and ensure efficiency across all departments
  • Analyse interactional & Voice of Community feedback data and provide insights to the Head of Sales & Service Operations to enhance decision-making processes.
    Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels regarding operational performance, challenges, and opportunities.
  • Collaborate with various departments to foster a culture of teamwork and
    continuous improvement.
  • Prepare and articulate business case recommendations and requests for work.
  • Oversee resource allocation and utilisation to ensure optimal efficiency in
    operations.
  • Collaborate with the leadership team to assess resource needs and make
    recommendations for resourcing and training.
  • Participate in cross-functional projects, providing operational insights and
    support to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Work closely with project teams to define objectives, timelines, and deliverables while monitoring progress against project milestones.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to streamline operations and enhance productivity.
  • Facilitate regular reviews of operational processes to ensure alignment with best practices and organisational standards.
  • Support the creation, updating and reviewing of new and existing procedures, process manuals, knowledge management information across Trade Operations division.
  • Support and lead operational risk management, including BCP and control
    initiatives as required by Head of Sales & Service Operations.
  • Contribute to the development business planning; forecast performance against business KPIs; develop business cases for key activities/projects; and estimate the financial and resource requirements to deliver performance targets.

Skills, Knowledge, and Attributes

  • Ability to identify and communicate areas for improvement with creative problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to give and follow instructions accurately and effectively.
  • Willingness and ability to adapt to new circumstances, information and
  • challenges.
  • Strong time-management skills to effectively plan, work under pressure and prioritise tasks to ensure delivery within set deadlines.
  • Intermediate skill in the use of Microsoft Office Software Suite.

Experience

  • Proven experience in operations management or a similar role, ideally within a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and generate actionable insights.
  • Excellent project & change management skills, with experience in collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficient in using data analysis tools and software.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on collaboration.
  • 2 years’ successful call centre supervisory or management experience, preferably in a member-based organisation
