ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY  

An exciting opportunity to lead and execute strategic data initiatives that will build confidence in plans and tactics, create test and learn opportunities, and spur thought leadership that drives client and agency growth. 

The Marketing Data, Analytics & Insights (MDAI) Manager works both as an individual contributor and collaboratively to lead cross-functional teams, inclusive of Paid and Earned Media strategists, through advanced data projects. 

The ideal candidate for this role understands customer journeys through a data lens, is fluent in digital marketing data collection, and reporting, and has statistics, engineering and database skills relevant to data science applications for marketing. 

This position is based in Canada and work with the Managing Director, VP, Strategy & Performance, and other department teams primarily located in Montreal and Toronto.  

To qualify, candidates must reside and be eligible to work in Canada.  

ABOUT THE RESPONSIBILITIES  

  • Define and drive email marketing strategy for the NPD clients
  • Manage daily operations of the email marketing channel for clients – marketing calendar, strategy and content, build and deployment of email campaigns, as well as the A/B testing, measurement and reporting
  • Build and manage automated email marketing programs for our clients and ensure end-to-end tracking and proper measurement
  • Collaborate with the team to determine to ensure brand guidelines are followed in emails
  • Report and provide recommendations on the email program performance monthly
  • Use data to continuously test, measure and optimize the email marketing program

ABOUT YOU 

  • 1-3 year’s experience in email marketing production and end-to-end campaign management
  • Strong analytical and strategic copywriting skills, understanding of A/B testing practices, ability to draw conclusions from data and take action accordingly
  • Hands-on experience with email platforms considered an asset (Klaviyo, Omnisend, Infusionsoft, Constant Contact or similar)
  • Expertise in email best practices, including segmentation, deliverability, copy and design approaches
  • Working knowledge of HTML/CSS for email coding
