The Systems Engineer Manages, defines, designs, and develops system requirements. Performs trade-off analyses of performance, life-cycle cost, risk, producibility, and other system or program requirements. Assesses architecture and current hardware limitations, defines and designs system specifications, and evaluates input/output processes and working parameters for hardware/software compatibility. Coordinates design of subsystems and integration of total system. Defines system support requirements. Analyzes and resolves program support deficiencies. Conducts independent technical investigations in systems design. Evaluates vendor capabilities to provide required products or services. Performs engineering studies and analyzes system problems in support of development, develop system implementation solutions. Develops concepts, provides requirements analyses, performs modeling and simulations, cost estimations, cost benefit analysis, familiar with engineering standards and industry best practices. Conducts COTS hardware and software interoperability, new technologies assessments, statistical studies, predictive analysis, project planning, script development, etc.

Required Skills

• Design, deploy, and maintain data center and cloud infrastructure solutions.
• Architect scalable and resilient systems that meet business and performance requirements.
• Manage and optimize cloud services across multiple platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
• Implement cloud governance and cost management strategies.
• Ensure compliance with security policies and regulatory requirements in cloud environments.
• Orchestrate provisioning, configuration management, and deployment of infrastructure components.
• Monitor system performance, availability, and capacity planning.
• Identify performance bottlenecks and optimize infrastructure for efficiency.
• Implement monitoring solutions and alerting mechanisms for proactive issue resolution.
• Implement and enforce security best practices in data center and cloud environments.
• Design and implement disaster recovery plans and procedures and test and validate disaster recovery mechanisms regularly to ensure high availability and business continuity of critical systems and applications.
• Implement change management processes for infrastructure modifications.
• Maintain up-to-date documentation of configurations, procedures, and operational processes.
• Ensure smooth transition of changes through testing, validation, and communication.
• Plan, implement, and manage Office 365 deployments, ensuring smooth migration and integration with existing systems.
• Configure and customize Office 365 services such as Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive for Business, Teams, and Microsoft 365 Apps according to business requirements.
• Manage Azure Active Directory (AAD) including user identities, groups, and permissions.
• Implement and configure Single Sign-On (SSO), Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), and identity synchronization between on-premises Active Directory and Azure AD (Azure AD Connect).
• Participate in on-call rotation and respond to critical incidents promptly.
  
  

Required Experience

Required:

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of the required degree or diploma.
• 3 years of experience and under as a Developer, Database Administrator or Systems Engineer.
  
  

Preferred:

• Certifications preferred if any (e.g. Cisco, Microsoft, IBM, Linux)
