Coleto Brands, parent Company of Progress Lighting and Kichler is seeking to fill a remote position for a VP of Information Technology. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing the information technology (IT) strategy that meets the company’s business objectives, delivers optimal return on investment, and maintains utmost security. 



Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develops and implements the company’s IT strategic plan, in accordance with Coleto Brands business goals and objectives
  • Leads the IT department, including recruiting and interviewing candidates, staff management, training and performance management
  • Recommends areas in IT to be insourced or outsourced and establishes and maintains relationships with technology vendors, negotiating contracts, and ensuring service quality
  • Drives and oversees the selection, implementation and integration of technology solutions to support business processes and improve efficiency
  • Develops and implements security policies and procedures to protect the organizations’ data and systems from cybersecurity threats
  • Collaborates with members of the executive team to identify ways and align IT initiatives to achieve business and financial goals
  • Stays informed of emerging technologies and identifies opportunities for innovation and improvement 
  • Ensures that the IT network infrastructure and business software applications adequately support the company’s computing, data processing, communications, and business process needs, including upgrades, modernization, and reduction of technology debt
  • Develops, implements and manages the IT budget optimizing resource allocation and cost effectiveness. 
  • Oversees IT projects ensuring they are completed on time, within budget and meet business needs
  • Communicates goals, projects, and timelines of the company to the department; plans ways to execute those goals within the department 
  • Facilitates preparation of project plans and proposals, outlining project objectives, requirements, staffing requirements and costs for proposed systems. 
  • Ensures compliance with government regulations that apply to systems operations.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned. 


Skills, Experience and Education:

  • Inspire and motivate team members, make sound decisions, and effectively delegate tasks with strong supervisory and leadership skills
  • Conceptualize, develop and implement IT strategies to support business objectives in a methodical manner to meet goals
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to effectively present technical information to non-technical audiences 
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong problem-solving skills with identification and resolution of IT issues in a timely and effective manner
  • Strong analytical skills to analyze IT data and trends to identify opportunities for improvement and innovation
  • Strong business acumen to understand business needs and objectives of the organization
  • Manage IT projects from start to finish, completing them on time and within budget
  • Knowledge of various IT technologies and systems including hardware, software, networking, and cybersecurity
  • Extensive experience (at least 10 years) in IT leadership roles with increasing level of responsibility, including project management, budget management, and vendor relations
  • Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills, capable of effectively motivating and managing IT staff
  • Experience in IT infrastructure, network management, cybersecurity, and technology solutions 
  • SAP S4 HANA Public Cloud and SAP Analytics and Datasphere experience is strongly preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree with a business focus required, ideally a strong focus in Information Technology / Information Systems, Computer Science, or Data Analytics
  • Master’s degree in business administration in the above fields is strongly preferred
  • Travel requirements: 10-25% domestic travel
