We are actively recruiting for a Senior IT Procurement & Contract Specialist to support our state client’s IT Procurement department. Our client seeks a Senior IT Procurement & Contract Specialist with extensive experience managing IT contracts, procurement, and vendor negotiations within state government. This role offers an exciting opportunity for a seasoned procurement professional to drive IT contract strategy, optimize vendor relationships, and ensure operational efficiency. 

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, manage, and administer IT contracts, RFPs, amendments, renewals, and change orders.
  • Negotiate end-user license agreements, terms, and conditions to align with state policies.
  • Provide contract oversight, monitoring, and vendor management to ensure cost-effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with state business leads, project managers, and legal teams on contract decisions.
  • Maintain a centralized contract repository and analyze IT contract data.
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal procurement laws and IT security standards.
  • Act as the primary liaison for IT procurement, bids, and agreements.
  • Drive critical project actions forward on behalf of the client. 

Requirements: 

  • 10-20 years of state IT procurement experience; federal experience a plus.
  • Strong background in IT contract negotiation and vendor management.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, IT, or a related field.
  • High-level communication and negotiation skills in complex, cross-functional environments.
  • Ability to develop and modify IFBs, RFQs, and RFPs.
  • Experience managing contracts through database systems.
  • Strong attention to detail

LOCATION: Remote; based in North Carolina preferred.

DESIRED START DATE:  ASAP

PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE: Now through December 31, 2025, with likelihood of extension past December 2025, along with strong continued growth of our acquisition work, both at the state and federal levels.
