Specific Requirements
Must be able to read, write, speak and understand the English language.
Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when necessary.
Must be able to relate information concerning a resident's condition.
Essential Functions
Pass medications- Must have Medication Aide Certification
Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living as defined in the resident care plan.
Provide housekeeping and laundry services in resident's units and common areas as indicated on the daily checklist.
Set tables, serve meals and bus tables using Serving Guidelines.
Answer call lights in a timely manor and respond appropriately.
Respond to any and all medical emergencies following established emergency procedures
Attend training and in-services as scheduled
Interact professionally with Resident's family members
Carry out all duties as defined on the checklists
Provide transportation services for the residents as needed
Complete special projects as assigned by supervisor
Assist residents with medication administration as defined by the regulatory agency.
Document all resident information and concerns in the communication book.
Physical And Sensory Requirements
(With or without the aid of mechanical devices)
Must be able to move intermittently throughout the workday.
Must be able to speak The English language in an understandable manner.
Must be able to cope with the mental and emotional stress of the position.
Must be able to see and hear or use prosthetics that will enable the senses to function adequately to assure that the requirements of this position can be fully met (i.e., accurately read measurements on patient/resident related equipment such as thermometers, monitors, gauges).
Must be able to function independently, have personal integrity, flexibility, and the ability to work effectively with residents, personnel and support agencies.
Must be in good general health and demonstrate emotional stability.
Must be able to relate and work with the disabled, ill, elderly, emotionally upset, hostile people within the facility at all times.
Must be able to lift, push, pull, and move a minimum, of 50 pounds.
Must be able to safely evacuate the residents

Decisions are made that reflect knowledge and good judgment and demonstrate an awareness of residents and families needs.
Awareness of personal limitations are evident and assistance is sought when necessary.
Takes pride in appearance and dress code is adhered to.
Responsibility is taken for own professional growth. All mandatory and other In-services are attended annually.
Organizational ability and time management skills are demonstrated.
Confidentiality of resident is respected at all times (i.e., when answering telephone and/or speaking to co-workers).
