Description

IgniteAction, a joint venture between ActioNet and Ignite is actively looking for a Senior Cloud Consultant with deep expertise in cloud infrastructure, system integration, and enterprise IT transformation. This role is responsible for leading the design, deployment, and optimization of cloud-based solutions that align with business goals and IT strategy. The ideal candidate brings a strong systems background, cross-platform proficiency, and a consultative approach to client engagement and solution delivery.

With over 8 years of experience in cloud computing and systems architecture, the consultant will work directly with stakeholders to assess current environments, define cloud roadmaps, and implement robust, secure, and scalable infrastructure across AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. This role also supports modernization efforts by designing migration strategies, optimizing resource usage, and applying industry best practices in automation and security.

Key responsibilities include providing architectural guidance, hands-on implementation of cloud-native and hybrid environments, and mentoring technical teams through deployment and support phases. The consultant should be highly collaborative, capable of managing multiple priorities, and experienced in working with DevOps teams, data engineers, and system administrators.

Responsibilities

  • Lead cloud strategy discussions, architecture design, and deployment planning for enterprise cloud solutions

  • Assess existing infrastructure and design migration paths to cloud-native or hybrid environments

  • Implement and manage secure, scalable, and highly available infrastructure on AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud

  • Develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform or Ansible to automate deployments

  • Collaborate with DevOps teams to build and optimize CI/CD pipelines and cloud monitoring systems

  • Provide governance over cloud cost management, security compliance, and platform optimization

  • Guide performance tuning, capacity planning, and operational readiness for cloud-hosted services

  • Translate business needs into technical solutions while documenting architectural decisions and operational procedures

  • Mentor junior engineers and participate in knowledge-sharing and training activities

Technical Skills

  • Cloud Platforms: AWS, Azure, Google Cloud

  • IaC & Automation: Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation, Shell scripting

  • Monitoring & DevOps: CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, Jenkins, Git, Docker, Kubernetes

  • OS & Systems: Linux (RHEL, Ubuntu), Windows Server

  • Networking & Security: IAM, VPC, Subnetting, VPNs, firewalls, encryption, MFA

  • Databases: Oracle, SQL Server, RDS, DynamoDB

  • Tools: Tableau, Jira, ServiceNow, GitHub, Jenkins

Basic Qualifications (Required)

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Cloud Computing, Computer Science, or a related field

  • 7+ years of experience in cloud architecture, systems engineering, or infrastructure consulting

  • Proficiency with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud platforms

  • Deep understanding of cloud security, compliance frameworks, and cost management strategies

Preferred Qualifications

  • Cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect, GCP Professional Cloud Architect)

  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation)

  • Familiarity with security and compliance frameworks (FedRAMP, NIST, CIS benchmarks)

  • Prior experience consulting on cloud modernization and digital transformation initiatives
