Financial Analyst (Senior)

Overview of the Position: The Senior Financial Analyst will provide high-level financial management support for Foreign Military Sales (FMS) case execution, reconciliation, and closure. This role requires extensive experience in FMS financial management, proficiency in various financial systems, and the ability to analyze and resolve complex financial issues.

Responsibilities

Provide financial case management support specific to internal and enterprise-wide FMS case execution, reconciliation, and closure.
Participate in the tiger team activities, present findings and proceed with case closure actions upon documented concurrence.
Participate in DSCA integrated meetings.
Facilitate FMS case execution, reconciliation, and closure based on SAMM policy and Financial Management Regulations (FMR), ensuring compliance while expediting case efforts.
Prepare logistics/financial reconciliation analysis and reports for performing activities, showing delivery commitment dates, unshipped requisitions, commitments, obligations, and expenditures.
Prepare reporting and metrics for FMS case execution, reconciliation, and closure, reconciling MISIL to DIFS as required.
Utilize FMS tools to pull data/reports and provide detailed analysis and initiate actions to resolve case discrepancies.
Ensure synchronization of commitment, obligation, and expenditure records between MISIL and PA.
Provide financial assistance in case development, execution, contract reconciliation, and closure.
Conduct financial analysis and reporting on special areas of interest, providing monthly reports and preparing briefing materials showing metrics.
Perform analysis and make recommendations to resolve corporate FMS business rule violations, submitting monthly reports with analysis and recommendations.

Skills And Abilities

Extensive knowledge of FMS financial management process and related systems.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
Experience in financial reconciliation and case management.
Ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders and maintain effective coordination with DoD and DoN offices.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree with ten years of relevant experience in FMS financial management.
Highly specialized knowledge or skills in FMS financial management with a documented work history and understanding of best practices.
Ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders and maintain effective coordination with DoD and DoN offices.
SECRET security clearance
