Katzman Produce is offering an exciting opportunity for a Facilities Assets Intern to join our team and support the management of essential equipment and facility assets. This internship is ideal for a college student interested in logistics, operations, or facilities management. Interns will gain hands-on experience helping to track and maintain equipment, organize vendor records, and support preventative maintenance plans in a large-scale produce distribution environment.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in tracking and organizing records for company equipment, including licenses, warranties, service agreements, and inspections
Help maintain databases of tools and assets used by multiple departments across the facility
Support in scheduling and logging preventative maintenance and repair work
Shadow and assist with communication between vendors and internal departments for service coordination
Learn how to review lease agreements and equipment documentation
Help document and organize asset-related procedures and safety protocols
Participate in identifying ways to improve equipment tracking and facility efficiency
Assist with inventory audits of tools and equipment
Learn how budgeting is developed for equipment procurement and maintenance
Collaborate with the Facilities and Safety teams to support overall operational goals
What We’re Looking For
A college student studying Business, Operations Management, Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related field
Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
Must be 18 years or older.
Interest in equipment, logistics, or operations coordination
Strong organizational and time-management skills
Detail-oriented with good record-keeping habits
Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); experience with databases is a plus
A proactive and safety-minded attitude
Willingness to learn in a warehouse or facilities environment
