Job description


With an objective to increase sales and profitability through support functions, this position is responsible for the following:

  • Sales support for the Lenvale and Sunset Business.
  • Managing customer accounts to maximize profitability and customer satisfaction.
  • Performing customer service functions such as: Management and coordination of orders from start to finish including vendor/customer communication, scheduling and following up on shipments, and timely presentation of documents.
  • Supporting international business with multiple sales offices in UK/Europe/USA, using multiple data bases,
  • Troubleshooting problems.
  • Coordinating with head office to ensure compliance with policies.
  • Additional projects and responsibilities as need arise.
  • Occasional overnight travel required.

Preferred qualification/attributes:

  • 4-year college degree or equivalent in experience
  • Experienced in Customer service
  • Experienced in UK/Europe logistics with “ocean” export/import knowledge along with trucking trucking to/from UK/Europe and knowledge of requirements for all aspects of export/import/domestic logistics and billing
  • Ocean, Freight Forwarding knowledge would be an advantage, Letters of Credit, DP Payment through Bank, working with accounting department matching up vendor/supplier invoices for payment and invoicing customers, fx contracts, foreign currencies as required.
  • High proficiency in Excel, Word, and ERP type software.
  • Strong entrepreneurial spirit and ownership, team player, clear communication skills, attention to detail, excellent time management and organization skills, goal oriented focus, strong willingness to learn, problem solving skills, flexibility, and ability to use positive language.

Location:

  • Remote (preferably in the area of London or Liverpool)

Other:

  • M-F, 8am to 5pm
