Overview
The Ontario Energy Board is currently seeking an energetic and collaborative individual to join our team as an Articling Student in Legal Services. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who likes intellectually challenging work in a collaborative environment that fosters innovation and creativity. Under the supervision of the Articling Principal, the Articling Student will provide legal support and develop hands-on legal skills by working with a team of legal and other professionals across the organization in various areas of law.
Responsibilities
General legal advice and assistance on issues related to applications, compliance, regulation, privacy, policy initiatives and other legal aspects of the OEB’s activities
Participate in OEB hearings
Draft OEB legal documents
Conduct legal research and draft legal opinions
Qualifications
Completion of the prerequisites required to participate in the Law Society of Ontario Articling Program
Interest in administrative and energy law
Superior written and oral communication and interpersonal skills
Strong analytical, organization interpersonal and problem-solving skills
Adaptability to work effectively and collaboratively in a variety of situations and within multi-disciplinary groups, including remote
