Job description

  • Well-versed in ETL processes, performance-based systems, and ETL process flow and standards.
  • Proficient in a Test life cycle from Test planning to Defect tracking with effective QA implementation.
  • Good Knowledge on STLC, SDLC, Testing Methodologies, Testing Techniques. Defect Life Cycle and Agile Methodologies.
  • Performed Hands on Validation at the levels of Data Extraction, Transformation and Loading with different sources like RDBMS/Flat/XML files. Basic knowledge on UNIX Commands as well.
  • Performed extensive testing on ETL Key Hit-points like Count validation/ Duplicates Validation/ Performance Capture/ Primary and Foreign Key Validation/ Data Type and Data Size validations.
  • Strong understanding on DWH concepts at implementation of Dimensional and Fact tables using Star Schema & Snowflake Schema.
  • Extensive experience in co-coordinating Test Efforts/Deliverables/Status reporting/Issue escalations.
  • Having knowledge on types of DWH dimensions involved like SCD Dimension, Junk Dimension etc., with Loading strategy types - I,II and III as per requirements.
  • Having Strong Knowledge on Automating ETL Test cases with the help of tools like Informatica-Data Validation Option.
  • Having strong Working knowledge of SQL Queries to conduct ETL/ ELT/ DWH/ Data Migration/Conversion/Consolidation Testing.
  • Good Leading experience with strong problem-solving, communication and quick learning skills.
  • Possess a strong Business knowledge in Data Warehousing on Insurance.
  • Highly quality conscious with good knowledge of the Quality processes followed through the complete software development/Testing life cycle of Project.
  • Extensively worked on data extraction, Transformation and loading data from various sources like SQL Server, Oracle, Hive, DB2 and Flat files.
