About the role

This position will lead the US Legislation Editorial Operations team deliver their print and online portfolio, growth, and operational excellence. Ultimately drive improvements in operational efficiency, revenue, margin, and customer satisfaction. You will help lead the change management required to transition the team into a production environment working across new content streams utilizing Generative AI, and drive adoption of a digital first, Gen AI culture. The role plays a critical role in enabling content innovations and driving operational effectiveness. You will lead a team responsible for creating, maintaining, and delivering exceptional Legislation content for the US business.
 

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the day-to-day workflows for digital and print legislation delivery.

  • Maintains editorial product quality, accuracy, timeliness, and cost management.

  • Collaborate with commercial stakeholders to create new print and digital legislation content opportunities to drive the customer experience forward. Liaises regularly with in-market teams and customers to ensure content meets customer needs.

  • Lead change management and advance Gen AI across the GEO Legislation organization.

  • Developing meaningful metrics and analytics within the US in alignment with Global Editorial Operations targets. Drive the team to maintain and succeed SLAs agreed upon with the business.

  • Publish print legislation in accordance with the print legislation schedule.

  • Manage the team to be able to handle peaks and troughs throughout Legislation cycles.

  • Lead and drive forward Gen AI editorial platform projects intended to improve efficiency and the end user experience.

  • Executing automation and drives adoption of global tools and systems delivery. Apply cutting-edge content management systems/architecture to streamline processes.

  • Managing the budget to ensure meeting of targets. Identifies and drives opportunities for savings. Engages in vendor management and contract negotiation to ensure value.

  • Establishing and monitoring objectives by providing regular feedback, coaching, training, and development. Responsible for determining performance opportunity areas.

  • Executing on cross-functional coordination and support of global initiatives.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree, and post-graduate degree JD or MBA preferred (or jurisdictional equivalent).

  • Must reside in the United States.

  • 3 years of people management experience required.

  • Strong process-orientation (developing consistent processes, documenting best practices, etc.).

  • Experience supporting a team through organizational transformation/change.

  • Have experience cross-collaborating across global regions and functions, preferably with experience with commercial/in-market/product teams; author management experience is a big plus. 

  • Have a collaborative management style with ability to lead cross-functional, team-based, deadline-intensive strategic initiatives and delivery.

  • Strong to Expert skills in MS Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams).

  • Experience in utilizing Legal Research and LLM console platforms (e.g., Lexis+AI, Protégé, Console, Co-Pilot, Chat GPT).
